And there is always a long line for them in the airport, and sometimes this line is too long to stand after a long flight… and the “yellow” cars are are often not very clean and uncomfortable ...

 

There’s always an illegal alternative: those very energetic and loud gentlemen who fish for passengers at the end of the official taxi line. Their services are illegal*. They drive various kinds of unlicensed and uninsured cars, pompously called "limousines". And they will charge you much higher fare - from $ 300 to $ 350 for a transfer from JFK airport to Manhattan, and that would be the best case scenario when they eventually bring you to your destination at all...
